Glenda Jean Hyde Chastain, age 72, of Ellijay, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at her residence. Glenda was born on August 28, 1953, to the late Talmadge and Glenise Hyde. In her fulfilling life, she loved going thrifting and yard selling. She worked as a waitress for over 40 years. She had an online clothing business, and loved online yard sale meets. She was an avid gardener, where she found much joy.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Jennie Kirk (Cashado) and Carolyn Simmons(Steven; sons, Joshua Chastain (Ardin)  and Jason Chastain (Kayla); sisters Elaine Killey (Eddie) and Robin Hyde; grandchildren, Kenny (Bethany) Southern, Brian Southern, Brandi (Josh) Stephens, Joseph (Abby) Simmons, John (Kaitlyn) Simmons, Journey Baughman, Keller Baughman, Corey Chastain and Ellie Jo Chastain along with several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Per her wishes, no services are scheduled at this time.

To honor Glenda's memory, friends and relatives are encouraged to come by her home and bring or plant flowers in her garden.
