Ms. Glenda "Pig" Grizzle Sanford, age 70 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Thursday, January 23rd, 2025 at her residence.

Ms. Sanford was born on April 1st, 1954, the daughter of the late Wesley John Grizzle and Leo Harriett Millwood Grizzle. She was a homemaker and a member of the Cross Roads Baptist Church of Ellijay. Pig loved to spend time with her family, whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents, Pig is preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth Grizzle, Leroy Grizzle, Ronnie Grizzle, Howard Grizzle, Junior Grizzle and sisters, Dorothy Pack, Marie Allen, Jeanette Plumley, Hilda Lowe and Mildred Grizzle.

She is survived by her two sons, Ronnie "Slick" Stokes of Ellijay, GA and Heath Sanford of Ellijay, GA; two brothers, Wayne Grizzle of Ellijay, GA and Terry Grizzle of Ellijay, GA; aunt, Reba Padgett of Jasper, GA; four grandchildren, Keisha Stokes, Jesse Stokes, Cole Stokes, and Nicholas Sanford; 7 great-grandchildren, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be on Monday, February 3rd, 2025 at 3:00 pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Donnie Lee Cantrell and Rev. Brondy Davis officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Kody Dale, Jason Keith, Cole Stokes, Hunter Patterson, Cody Whittemore, and Heath Sanford. Honorary pallbearers will be Zach Champion, Nicholas Sanford, David Rowe, Kainen Keith, and all great grandsons.

The family will receive friends on Monday February 3rd 2025 from 11:00 am until the service hour of 3:00 pm at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted; however, the family respectfully asks that no food be brought to the funeral home in memory of Ms. Pig Grizzle Sanford.
