Obituary

Mr. Delmer Glenn McDaniel, age 71 of Ellijay, passed away on Saturday, February 15th, 2025 at his residence.

Mr. McDaniel was born on February 10th, 1954 in Jasper, GA, the son of the late Delmer Garland McDaniel and Lillie Belle (Boling) McDaniel. Glenn was a man who found joy in the simple things—fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He had a deep love for the Lord, old cars, and gardening, and his legacy will live on through the memories of those who were touched by his kindness and passion for life. He was a member of the Crossroads Christian Fellowship in Ellijay. In addition to his father, Glenn is preceded in death by his brother, Lee McDaniel.

Glenn is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Beverly McDaniel of Ellijay; son and daughter-in-law, Les (Tina) McDaniel of Ellijay; mother, Belle McDaniel of Jasper; sisters and brother-in-law, Martha (Benny) McCurry of Jasper and Faye Coffey of Jasper; brother and sister-in-law, Frank (Debra) McDaniel of Jasper, and three granddaughters, Jaylee McDaniel, Neeyah McDaniel, and Abree McDaniel also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Mr. McDaniel will be held on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Jones and Rev. Glenn Arnold officiating. Graveside Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery. The following gentlemen will be serving as Pall Bearers: David Lawson, Tony Bryant, Tommy Pankey, Chad Seiverling, Adam Gunn, Paul Lee McDaniel, James Abbott, and David Newcomb. The following gentlemen will be serving as Honorary Pall Bearers: Keith Pankey, John Garrett, Brian Garrett, Toby Arnold, and Dusty Arnold.

The family will receive friends on Monday, February 17th, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family respectfully asks that no food and flowers be brought to the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the City of Refuge c/o Steve Fields at Covenant Community Church at 191 Harold Pritchett Rd, Ellijay, GA 30540.
