Mr. Gregory "Greg" Wayne Sumner, age 59 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025 in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Mr. Sumner was born on January 16th, 1966 in Ellijay, GA. He proudly served our nation in the United States Army and was a truck driver. Greg is preceded in death by his loving mother, Barbara Lee Beal Tipps; sister, Ilene Stanley; brother, Eric Collis, and niece, Brandy Stanley.

Greg is survived by his loving father, Mr. Lloyd W. Sumner of Ellijay, GA, and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Philip (Glenda) Sumner of Jasper, GA and Alan (May) Sumner of Titusville, FL.

A public visitation will be held at the Bernhardt Funeral Home on Saturday, June 14th, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Following the visitation, Greg will be laid to rest by his mother at the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery. The following gentlemen will be serving as pall bearers: AJ James, Carlton James, DL Banks, Phillip Sumner, Barry Broome, and Buddy Anderson.
