Mr. Guy Inman Cheek, Jr., age 79 of Ellijay, GA, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, May 28th, 2025.

Guy was born January 5th, 1946 in Miami, Florida to the late Guy Inman Cheek, Sr. and the late Philapine Helms Cheek. He graduated from West Fannin High School and later owned and operated Cheek Automotive and Air Conditioners. He was a proud member of the East Wood Baptist Church of Marietta, GA and the Kennesaw Masonic Lodge. Guy honorably served our nation in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

In addition to Mr. Cheek's parents, he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Edna and Romas Norton, and three sisters, Joyce Collier, Joyann Bullington, and Norma Pledger.

Guy is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Kathy Norton Cheek of Ellijay, GA; sons, Nathan Guy Cheek of Ellijay, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Kristi (Brad) Borselmann of North Port, FL; four grandchildren, Aiden, Madison, Benjamin, and Presley, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Graveside Service to honor the life of Mr. Cheek will be held on Saturday, May 31st, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. from the Yukon Cemetery with Rev. Pat Shelton officiating and the North Georgia Honor Guard rendering his final military rites. The following gentlemen will be serving as Pall Bearers: Stephen Kirby, Chris Jones, Freddie Burnside, Tyler Setser, and David Collins.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 31st, 2025 from 11:45 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. The procession will leave the funeral home at approximately 12:45 p.m. headed to the cemetery.

The family respectfully asks that no food be brought to the funeral home; however, flowers will be accepted in memory of Mr. Guy Inman Cheek, Jr.
