Mrs. Helen Donnelle Greer, age 77 of Ellijay, passed away Tuesday, January 18 ^th , 2022, at her residence.

Mrs. Greer was born in Valdosta, Georgia on December 13 ^th , 1944, to the late Charles Donald and Sarah Brunelle Brantley Ganas. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Greer, brother, Wallace Ganas, sister Carolyn Ganas, son Jerry Michael Crosby and daughter Janet Crosby Hendon (Randy).

Survivors include one son, Cory Greer; two daughters, Audra D'Alessandro and Terri Crosby DeCarlo. Ten grandchildren, Christopher Baltrus, Jessica Spooner Baltrus, Lindsay Pyles Cargile (Buck), Ryan M. Pyles, Jordan DeCarlo DeVane (Justin), KK DeCarlo, Shane Simpson, Hunter Greer, Anthony D'Alessandro, Gavin Greer, Kyleigh Mitchell. Several great-grandchildren also survive.

Donnelle worked for Georgia Power Company in Valdosta for many years. She later retired from the Cherokee County Board of Education.

To honor her wishes, Mrs. Greer was cremated and there will be no services.
