Iva Kathryn Sexton, age 79 of Ellijay Ga passed away on June 3rd, 2025, at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, GA.

Mrs. Sexton was born November 4th, 1945, in Gilmer County, GA, the daughter of the late Lewis Craig and Grace Rice Craig. She was a homemaker and a member of Flat Creek Baptist Church.

Mrs. Sexton is survived by daughters, Christie (Jimmy) Hackett, Kathy Rosa Martinez, Clarissa Gail Sexton, Sisters; Ruby Stover, Ellijay, Louise Young, Ellijay, Lillie Cantrell, Chatsworth, Betty Collis, Chatsworth, brother; Willie Craig, Ellijay several grandchildren and great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 7th, 2025, at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Sanford and Rev. Pat Shelton officiating. Interment will follow in the Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday June 7th 2025 from 9:00am until the funeral hour of 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
