Mr. James Lester McClure, age 90 of Roswell, formerly of Ellijay, passed away on Thursday, May 18th, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. McClure was born on March 25th, 1933, in Ellijay, to the late Ora McClure and Lillie Fowler McClure. He worked as a machinist and tool die maker. Mr. McClure loved working with his hands; he loved gardening, woodworking, and working on cars. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Emma Jean McClure.

Survivors include his son, Michael McClure; two daughters, Saundra McClure and Vickie Paravate; two sisters, Irene Pierson and Carlene Hatcher; and three grandchildren, Lauren Jones, Ryan Paravate, and Austin McClure.

A private graveside service will be held in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Carroll Holbrooks officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 20th from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM.

Flowers will be accepted, or donations can be made to the Macedonia Baptist Church cemetery fund in the care of Dennis Ralston @ 117 River Ln Ellijay, GA 30536 in memory of Mr. James McClure. However, the family asks that no food be brought to the funeral home.
