Mr. James E. Rich, age 83 of Ellijay, passed away on May 9, ^th 2022 at Hamilton medical in Dalton Georgia.

Mr. Rich was born September 10th, 1938 to the late Roy and Hester Dillard Rich. He was employed by the Pickens County Road department. He was pastor of House of Prayer in Talking Rock GA. He is preceded in death by his wife Mary Ann Rich, brother, Rosco Dillard, sisters, Joyce Pendley and Louise Richards.

Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and J.I. Mayfield Talking Rock, Grandchildren, Crystal Haygood, Daryl Mayfield, great grandchildren, Hannah McClure, Haley Miller, Ava Jane Sanders, Chandese Kate Sanders, Trevor McClure, great-great grandchild, Emery gene McClure several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 2:00 pm from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral with Rev. Bobby Timms officiating. Music will be provided by the Mashburn Family. Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will be, Jammie and Jody Flower, Michael and Jason Taylor, and William and Billy Marlow.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 11, 2022 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the funeral home.

Food and Flowers will both be accepted in memory of Mr. Rich.
