Mr. James Junior Vick, age 95 of Ellijay, GA, passed away Sunday, November 3rd, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. Vick was born November 30, 1928 in Gilmer County to the late Earl Vick and Dessie Hensley. Mr. Vick was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Military. He was also self-employed as a mechanic for many years. In addition to his parents, Mr. Vick is preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Alene Dorothy Davis Vick.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Freddie (Joanne) Vick, of Ellijay, GA, and Michael (Tammy) Vick, of Ellijay, GA; 5 grandchildren, Nikki Vick Standridge, Dylan (Jade) Vick, Shannon (Nikki) Chastain, Hannah (Joey) Davis and Jeff (Lauren) Vick; 8 great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, November 5th at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Wallace Parks and Rev. Paul Richards officiating. Music will be by Kayla Easley. Pallbearers will be Randy Ponder, Jake Ponder, Jamie Easley, Jimmy Knight, Clay Vick and Clinton Sanford. Interment will follow in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 5th from 11:00 am until the service hour at 2:00 pm at Bernhardt Funeral Home.
