Mrs. Janette Anna Mashburn Ivey, age 98 of Ellijay, GA, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 13th, 2026.

Mrs. Ivey was born on July 10th, 1927 in Newelm, GA to the late Mark Liffingwell Mashburn and Russell Pope Mashburn. She had a special love for butterflies, reflecting her gentle and sweet spirit. She was of the Baptist faith and loved the Lord dearly. Her family was the center of her life, and she cherished every moment spent with them. Mrs. Ivey will be remembered for her kindness, her faith, and the love she shared with all who knew her. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ivey is preceded in death by her loving husband, Mr. Coland Ivey, and numerous brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bob (Charlene) Ivey of Ellijay, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Toni Ivey and Steve Resnick of Chester, Maryland; five grandchildren, Lori (Bryan) Bray, Jennifer (Dennis) Jackson, Carrie (Luke) Grossmann, Benjamin Klybor, and Ian Klybor and Christina Babyak, and eight great-grandchildren, Addison (Brady) Whitehead, Mallory Jackson, Rebecca Bray, Parker Bray, David Jackson, Lucy Grossmann, Noah Grossmann, and Maggie Grossmann.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Mrs. Ivey will be held on Thursday, February 19th, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Rorie officiating. She will be interred in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA at a later date.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 19th, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour of 2:00 p.m.

The family will be accepting food and flowers in memory of Mrs. Janette Ivey.
