Ms. Lora Janie Sellars Cornett, age 71 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Friday, April 25th, 2025, at the Grandview Health Care Center in Jasper, GA.

Ms. Cornett was born on August 16th, 1953  in LaGrange, GA to the late Cecil Daniel Sellars, Sr., and the late Bertha Lorene Noles Sellars. She was a horse trainer and operated Cornett Ranch.

She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Rickey (Jennifer) Hulsey of Ellijay, GA, and Brian (Crystal) Hulsey of Ellijay, GA; two daughters and son-in-law, Melisa Hulsey (Brandon) West of Ellijay, GA and Kimberly Snowden of Colorado; one brother and sister-in-law, Cecil Daniel, Jr. Sellars (Kay Rogers) of Carrollton, GA; sister, Barbara Diane Sellars of Statesboro, GA; and 15 grandchildren also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, at 4:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Fields officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until the service hour of 4:00 p.m.

The family respectfully asks that no food and flowers be brought to the funeral home. In lieu of these, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help alleviate the family of the final expenses.
