Mr. Jerry Louis Kinser, age 77 of Ellijay, passed away on Saturday, June 17th, 2023 at his residence.

Jerry was born on March 23rd, 1946 in Gilmer County to the late Iverson Kinser and Bessie Wright Kinser. He was employed by Lockheed as a Research Mechanic and a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.  Jerry proudly served our nation in the United States Army. In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his loving wife, Joann Kinser, and son, Johnny Louis Kinser.

Survivors include cousin, Franklin "Frank" Wright of Ellijay; sister-in-law, Hellen Kinser; special adopted daughter, Toni Calabro; daughter, Marina Payne, and several nieces and nephews who also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 21st, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Dotson officiating. The gentlemen serving as Pallbearers will include: Greg Wright, Austin Wright, John Payne, Anthony Payne, Ed Findley, and John Reece. Honorary Pallbearers include Franklin Wright, Bill Wright, Arthur Kinser, Kenneth Buffington, Eddie Hendon, Oathur Osbourne, Andy Futch, and Brandon Luther. Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 21st, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
