Mr. Jerry Newton Weaver, age 78 of Ellijay, passed away on Sunday, September 3rd, 2023.

Mr. Weaver was born on September 2nd, 1945 in Gilmer County to the late Bufford Weaver and Effie Weaver. He was retired from Lockheed and a proud member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Jerry is preceded in death by his brother, Ronnie Weaver, and sister-in-law, Linda Rice Weaver.

Survivors include his loving wife, Lynn Weaver; son and daughter-in-law, Stacy Lee (Traci) Weaver; daughter, Stephanie Lynn Grizzle; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Ricky Weaver, Benny (Carol) Weaver, and Barry (Tabitha) Weaver; sister and brother-in-law, Carol (Eddie) Cantrell; sister-in-law, Linda Underwood Weaver; two grandchildren, Zoei Alison Grizzle and Zachary Andrew Grizzle, and many friends also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Ellijay with Rev. Ruben Smith and Rev. Ben Hames officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The gentlemen serving as pallbearers will include: Bob Limberg, Zach Grizzle, Gary Spivey, Dennis Vinson, Benny Weaver, Barry Weaver, and Ricky Weaver.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 6th, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 2:00 p.m. at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks that donations be made to the Pleasant Grove Senior Adult Group. You can make this out to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church at 115 Pleasant Grove Rd, Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Mr. Jerry Weaver.
