Mr. Jessie Lee Mullinax, age 81 of Ellijay, passed away on Thursday, May 23rd, 2024 at the Sonshine Manor in Blairsville, GA.

Jessie was born on November 16th, 1942 in Gilmer County to the late Clifford Mullinax and the late Lillie Ellis Mullinax. He was a proud member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Joe Mullinax and Holbert Mullinax, and sisters, Bama Lowman, Rosale Stover, Gaynell Sanford, Jossie Sanford, and Ruby Ingral.

Jessie is survived by his loving wife, Lorene Farist Mullinax; two sons, Gregory (Stacy) Mullinax and Scott Mullinax; two grandchildren, Tyler (Jessika) Miller and Colin Flannery, one great-grandchild, Ryder Miller, and sister-in-law Bessie Mullinax.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ebenezer Baptist Church with Rev. Russell Burt, Rev. Michael Cantrell, and Rev. Sam Rickett officiating. The Ebenezer Baptist Church Choir will sing. Graveside Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The following gentlemen will be serving as pall bearers: Tyler Miller, Colin Flannery, Loyd Holden, Freddy Cook, Micky Moskovitz, and Mark Holden.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 26th, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Sam Rickett will lead the family in a word of prayer.

The family respectfully asks that no flowers be brought to the funeral home; however, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Jill Chastain.
