Jimmie Geneva (Sluder) Beals, age 76, of Athens, died Thursday,  June 12, 2025.

She was born February 25, 1949 in Canton, Georgia, the daughter of the late James Sluder and the late Eunice (Harper) Sluder. She was predeceased by her husband Steve and her daughter, Shannon (Beals) Perez. Mrs. Beals grew up in Tucker, Georgia and was a veteran of  the U.S. Air Force. She owned "the Hello Kitty store", Christie's Pals,  in Athens for many years and later worked at JWR Jewelers. She was also a member of the First Christian Church of Athens.

She is survived by her son, Wade, daughter-in-law, Kristin, grandchildren, Emily, Elise, and Julianne, and cousin, Oleeta (Fain) Igar.

Service details for Mrs. Beals will be announced as soon as they are determined.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Association in memory of Mrs. Beals.
