Ms. Joann Holden, age 83 of Cartersville, passed away on Wednesday, April 12th, 2023 at the Cartersville Center for Nursing and Healing.

Ms. Holden was born on October 10th, 1939, in Ellijay, to the late Benjamin Holden and Rosa Stanley Holden. She loved flowers and birds. Ms. Holden also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and singing gospel music. She was retired from working as a physical therapist for Starcrest Nursing Home in Cartersville. Ms. Holden is preceded in death by her husband, William McDonald; two sons, Richard Goss and Harrison Titus Goss; and daughter, Deanna England.

Survivors include her son, Barney Goss; daughter, Donna Mobley; eight grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 21st at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Ray officiating. Interment will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, April 21st from 10:00 AM until the service hour.

Flowers and food will be accepted in memory of Ms. Joann Holden.
