Mr. John Allen Higgins Sr., age 84 of Ellijay, passed away on Saturday, September 17 ^th, 2022 at the Parkside Nursing Home.

Mr. Higgins was born September 6th, 1938 in Miami Florida the son of the late Joseph and Katherine Felton Higgins. He worked in the Union as sheet metal worker for the majority of his life. He was also a Veteran and served in the United States Army. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include: Sons; Brian Higgins, and John Higgins Jr., Daughters; Susan Rogers, and Pamela Higgins, Brothers; Gene Durham, Jerry Zurcher, Sister; Ella Mae Ledoux, 3 Grandchildren; Alex Higgins, Megan Raymond, Ashley Glass, 3 Great Grandchildren; Mya Raymond, Sophia Raymond, Mckenzie Glass, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 22 ^nd 2022 from 11:15 pm at the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery with family officiating. Pallbearers will be Brian Higgins, Curtis Rogers, and David Rogers.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 22 ^nd, 2022 from 9:00 am until 11:00 am at the Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church Cemetery fund in memory of Mr. Higgins.
