Mr. John Joseph McRedmond, IV, age 64 of Ellijay, passed away on Saturday, January 20th, 2024 at his residence.

Mr. McRedmond was born on November 11th, 1959 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late John Joseph McRedmond, III, and Patricia Mary O'Connor McRedmond. John was employed by Shaw Industries and was a member of the Good Samaritan Catholic Church of Ellijay. He was a loving father and loved jokes of the day. In addition to his father, Mr. McRedmond is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lillian Kathleen McRedmond.

Survivors include his son, John J. McRedmond, V of Jasper; two daughters, Katelyn McRedmond of Ellijay and Ashley Parsley of Nashville, TN; mother, Patricia McRedmond of Nashville, TN; brother, Michael McRedmond of Nashville, TN; four sisters, Mary McRedmond, Kelly McRedmond, Sheila Harrell all of Nashville, TN and Dorothy Gregory of Thomaston, Maine; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Eva Waits of McDonough, GA also survive.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 29th, 2024 from the Good Samaritan Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Catholic Church at 55 N Church St, Ellijay, GA 30540 in memory of Mr. John McRedmond.
