Mr. Johnnie Gordon Coffey, age 92 of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on Monday, April 22nd, 2024 at the Truewood Charlotte Center.

Johnnie was born on February 6th, 1932 in Talking Rock, GA to the late John Lester Coffey and the late Vida Henson Coffey. He proudly served our nation in the United States Army. He loved to golf, fish, visiting friends and family, TV westerns, and dancing.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Coffey is preceded in death by his brothers, James Nolan Coffey and Eugene Coffey, and sisters, Mary Ruth Harrison and Margrett Venice Kinter.

Johnnie is survived by his loving wife, Charleen Coffey; son, Kenneth Coffey; step-daughter, Cherstin Haga, and 4 grandchildren, Ashley, Wyatt, Aidan, and Caleb also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, April 28th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home. Graveside Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery with the North Georgia Honor Guard presenting the flag.

The family will receive friends here at the funeral home on Sunday, April 28th, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour of 2:00 p.m.
