Obituary

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Joseph Frank Kroll. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on January 29, 1938 and died in Ellijay, Georgia on Monday, May 26th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Joe's life was a testimony to goodness - he made the world a better place. His faith was strong and unwavering. Joe was a man of integrity, humility, unconditional love and he dedicated himself fully to his family. His quiet strength, wisdom, and unwavering kindness were hallmarks of his life, and his presence was always a steady source of comfort and guidance.

Whether he was coaching wrestling, a little league game, doing laundry or dishes around the house, or simply listening with his whole heart, Joe led by example—teaching those around him what it meant to serve and to live with honor and love. He had a unique ability to teach lessons without ever raising his voice, and performed quiet acts of goodness without ever expecting anything in return.

Joe worked for CBS Records, Sony and Time-Warner, spending his entire career manufacturing records, tapes, cd's, and video discs. He was the Plant Manager of manufacturing facilities located in New Jersey, Georgia, Pennsylvania and California. He was an Eagle Scout, a Boy's State Delegate, and was named California Boy of the Year. He enjoyed traveling, loved and served his Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of Lions Club, and member and past president of Rotary and also served as a School Board President. He was an avid Eagles fan.

Beyond his family, Joe touched many lives with his gentle nature, sense of humor, and ability to make everyone feel special. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that Joe was committed to his faith and that he's now living the life he was designed to live - his eternal life with Christ. He leaves behind a legacy of love, and deep-rooted family values that will last for generations.

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Patty, and children, Barbara Barrett (Tommy,) Sherri Yenner (Mike,) John Harris (Lori,) Cliff Harris (Amy,) and Rob Harris (Christina,) and sister, Barbara (Doug.) His numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a tremendous source of pride and joy of his life. He was predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Mary Kroll, his brother, Jim, son, Joey, and granddaughter, Alicia Barrett.
