Joyce Christine Reece Anderson, age 84, of Williamson, Georgia passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024. She was born on April 11, 1940, in Ellijay, Georgia, the daughter of the late Wesley James Reece and Dulah Lee Evans Reece. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, John William "Bill" Anderson; her grandson, Justin Lee Bennett; and her sister, Carlene Cox.
Joyce, known lovingly as Meme, Mama, and Ma, leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will forever be cherished by her family. Joyce was the heart of her family, dedicating her life to her children and grandchildren, who were her greatest pride and joy. No one loved their family more deeply than Mama. Her youngest child and only son, Scott, held a special place in her heart, truly the apple of her eye.
Joyce was a woman of unwavering faith and is now at peace with the Angels. Her hands were never idle; she loved to crochet and spent countless hours sewing in her younger years. A master in the kitchen, Joyce was known as the best cook, and her baked goods, especially her cakes, were adored by everyone. Sharing her food was her greatest joy, a true gift from the heart.
Joyce had an impeccable sense of style, always dressed to the nines, with her beloved diamonds adding a touch of class to her every outfit. Her fashion sense was only matched by her great sense of humor; she loved to laugh and had a way of getting tickled that brought joy to those around her. Independent and full of life, Joyce loved babies and was always on the go, embracing each day with a spirit that will be dearly missed.
