Mrs. Judy Catherine Garland Holt, age 82 of Morganton, passed away on Sunday, November 12th, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Holt was born on March 17th, 1941, in Ellijay, to the late Rufus Garland and Lula Aaron Garland. Her happiness in life was her children, grandchildren, and church family. Mrs. Holt was a member of Morganton Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and caregiver who loved going shopping and working in the garden. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Holt is preceded in death by her husband, James Holt; and daughter, Robin Holt.

Survivors include her son, Alan (Jennifer) Holt of Blue Ridge; daughter, Kelly Kimsey of Morganton; mother-in-law, Marie Holt of Ellijay; and four grandchildren, Logan Holt, Payton Holt, Morgan Holt, and Aaron Kimsey also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 16th at 1:00 PM from Morganton Baptist Church with Rev. Eric Kincaid officiating. Music will be performed by Greg Norton. Interment will follow in the Ellijay Church of Christ cemetery. Pallbearers serving will be Kevin Franklin, Kell Green, Payton Holt, Logan Holt, Kevin Collins, and Rex Burgess.

Mrs. Holt will lie in state on Thursday, November 16th from 11:00 AM until the service hour of 1:00 PM at Morganton Baptist Church.

Flowers will be accepted in memory of Mrs. Judy Holt, but any flowers donated must be sent to Morganton Baptist Church (9511 Old Hwy 76, Morganton, GA 30560) the day of the service.
