Mrs. Kay Marie Hairston, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away on Wednesday, March 15 ^th , 2023 at home, surrounded by her family in East Ellijay at the age of 80.

Mrs. Hairston, a member of Covenant Community Church, was born on January 20 ^th , 1943 in Garden City, Kansas to the late Clinton Luray Williams and Gladys "Starr" Williams. She was a graduate of the Trinity School of Nursing in Minot, North Dakota.

She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Hairston; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Jennifer Hairston; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Larry Wolfe; sisters, Shirley McLoughlin and Serena Jordan; 5 grandchildren, Jacob Hairston, Hannah Hairston, Isaac Hairston, Nate (Madeline) Wolfe, and Joel Wolfe, and one great-granddaughter, Eris.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, March 21 ^st , 2023 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Fields officiating.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 21 ^st , 2023 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Food and Flowers will be accepted. In lieu of flowers, donations may also be made to the Safe Choice Pregnancy Care Center @ 220 Sailors Dr. Ellijay, GA 30540.
