Mrs. Kelsie Mae Baxter, age 70 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Friday, August 2nd, 2024 at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, GA.

Kelsie was born on May 19th, 1954 in Polk County to the late James Burton Gregg and the late Teazie Alice (Plumley) Gregg. She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jamie (Carol) Baxter of Ellijay, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie Baxter (Kevin Willis) of Ellijay, GA; sister, Diane Marlowe of Madisonville, TN; half-sister, Connie Nicholson, and 10 grandchildren, Kamryn Baxter, Kassidy Davis, Peyton McClure, Aubree McClure, Samuel Howerton, Aaron Howerton, Matthew Howerton, Ben Howerton, Jacob Howerton, and Landon Howerton also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 4th, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Nealey officiating. Following the service, Kelsie will be cremated.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 4th, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of food and flowers, the family respectfully asks that memorial contributions be made to the funeral home to help alleviate the family with the final funeral expenses.
