Ms. Lana Jean Wieberg, age 82 of Ellijay, passed away on Wednesday, September 13th, 2023 at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.

Mrs. Wieberg was born on October 14th, 1940 in Syracuse, NY to the late Goffrey Ray Spurling and Melrose Saunders Spurling.

Survivors include her husband, Howard Earl Wieberg; son and daughter-in-law, Eric Jon (Debbie) Wieberg of Centreville, AL; four brothers and sisters-in-law, J Jeffery (Judy) Spurling of Brooksville, FL, Paul (Mary) Spurling of Greenville, SC, Dr. Timothy (Susan) Spurling of Florence, SC, and Mark (Rachel) Spurling of Florence, SC; grandchild, Jon Eric (Jackie) Wieberg; and five great-grandchildren also survive.

To honor Ms. Wieberg's wishes, she will be cremated and no services are planned at this time.
