Mr. Larry Ray Fox, Sr., age 81 of Ellijay, died on Saturday, January 17th, 2025.

Larry was born December 25th, 1944, in Cherokee County, North Carolina, the son of the Late James Guy Fox and Maine Augusta Stiles Fox. He worked as a forestry technician, employed by the United States Forestry Service. He was a veteran serving in the United States Air Force. He was also a Mason belonging to the Oak Bowery Lodge #81 and the Cherokee Lodge #146. Larry was also a member of the Turniptown Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Stella Fox.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Larry JR and Melinda Fox, Ellijay, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Christi and Daniel Bell, Talking Rock, GA; grandchildren, Megan Fox LeSesne (Destin), Hunter Fox, Brooke Bell, and Brandon Bell; great-grandchildren, Archer LeSesne, and River LeSesne. A host of other family and friends also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 20th at 4:00 pm from the Turniptown Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Smith, Rev. Jonathan Padgett, Rev. Steve Jones, and Rev. Ricky Brown officiating. The Turniptown Baptist Church Choir will perform the vocals. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Military rites being conducted by the United States Air Force. Pallbearers will be Chad Cook, David Stiles, John Morrow, Alex Henson, Hunter Fox, and Brandon Bell.

The family will receive friends on Monday, January 19th, from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Turniptown Baptist church cemetery fund in memory of Larry Fox Sr.

The family respectfully asks that no food be brought to the funeral home.
