Mrs. Lillian Kathleen McRedmond, age 62 of Ellijay, passed peacefully in her home on the evening of Friday, January 27th, 2023.

Lillian "Kathy" was born on August 4th, 1960 in East Point, Georgia to the late Ozie Olin Waits and Lillian May Davidson Waits.

Kathy was endeared to colleagues and lifelong friends during her nearly 30-year profession with Wyeth/Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. From 1980, Kathy propelled her estimable career through roles as Sr. Sales Analyst to Sr. Administrator of Field Sales. During this time, with her beloved husband of 29 years, Kathy raised her family of two children while concurrently completing coursework through Shorter College, earning credits within the International Association of Administrative Professionals. Kathy is treasured locally as the friendly neighborhood barista at Starbucks in East Ellijay, where she uplifted and inspired customers and fellow partners for the last 12 years. Kathy is most cherished for her outrageous humor and youthful spirit, her fierce love for animals, and her unconditional compassion for others.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband, John McRedmond IV; one son, John McRedmond V; one daughter, Katelyn McRedmond, and two brothers, David and Ron Waits.

Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, February 11th, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour.
