Mrs. Linda Jarrard, age 79 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Saturday, August 30th, 2025 at her residence.

Linda was born on September 15, 1945, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Glwn Lipham and Wilma Rowe. She graduated from Shorter College in 1967 and earned a Master's degree in Education in 1972 from the University of Georgia, dedicating her career to shaping young minds with patience and passion. A devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother, Linda found her greatest joy in time spent with family. She was known for her warmth, generosity, and unwavering commitment to helping others. Throughout her life, she actively served her community through volunteer work with Kids First, CASA, Faith, Hope and Charity, the Craddock Center, and the Gilmer Food Pantry, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and service that continues to inspire all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, John Jarrard; daughters and sons-in-law, Kate and Zach Rogers and Deborah and Jason LeBel; siblings, John Lipham, Debbie Wilkes, and Joe Lipham; grandchildren, Reese Scott, Ryleigh Scott, Kailee LeBel, and Brady LeBel; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

To honor Mrs. Jarrard's wishes, she will be cremated and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
