Mrs. Mae Bell Ledford, age 89 of Alpharetta, passed away on Saturday, March 25 ^th , 2023 at Piedmont Fayette.

Mrs. Ledford was born on June 2 ^nd , 1933 in Alpharetta, GA to the late James Albert Lee and Flora Lee. She was an excellent homemaker and cook, and was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church of Jonesboro. She loved her grandchildren but in truth, she raised more "grandchildren" than were actually hers. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her five brothers; Ransey Lee, Millard Lee, Harley Lee, Earnest Lee, and Emory Lee; as well as her sister, Laura Bell Lee.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Earl and Carol Ledford and Wayne and Kay Ledford; daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Steve Davis; grandchildren, Robin Surguine, David E. Ledford, Michelle Ledford, Jeremy Ledford, Justin Ledford, Christina Ledford, Kristen (Ledford) Harbin, Joshua Ledford, Brett Davis, and Kyle Davis. Thirteen great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 31 ^st , 2023 at 12:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with David Harbin officiating. Interment will follow in the James-Ledford Family Cemetery. Pallbearers include: David Ledford, Brett Davis, Kyle Davis, Jeremy Ledford, Justin Ledford, and David E. Ledford.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. on Friday until the funeral hour of noon.
