Mae was born in Gilmer County on September 27, 1942, the daughter of the late Raymond Parks and Tamer Fendley Parks. She was a homemaker and loved her family very much. She is survived by her sons, Raymond (Paula) Holt, Charles (Edna) Holt, Eddie (Janice) Holt; daughters, Juanita Criddle, Alice (Ruel) Southern; sisters, Lois McClure, Lorene Miller; 5 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two nieces also survive.
