Marcia Clemons, age 72, of Ellijay, Georgia, gained her angel wings on Monday, March 16, 2026, with her loving sister by her side.

Marcia was born on June 14, 1953, in Anderson, Indiana, to Louis and Blanche Clemons. She spent many of her happiest years in Longview, Texas, where she enjoyed life on her beloved ranch surrounded by her horses. Later in life, she made her home in Ellijay, Georgia.

Many locals will remember Marcia for her friendly smile while helping customers at Walmart and later at Ingles. She had a deep love for her family, friends, and animals, especially her cherished horses. Marcia will be greatly missed by all who knew her, both near and far.

Marcia is survived by her sister, Lynn Kline of Ellijay, Georgia; her niece, Melissa Larsen and husband Pete of Katy, Texas; her nephew, Michael Kline and wife Beth of Richmond Hill, Georgia; and several great-nieces and nephews, Jenna and Taylor Larsen, and Jack Christie and Natalie Kline.

No services are planned at this time. However, donations may be made to the Gilmer County Animal Control.
