Mrs. Margret Annette Piper, age 66 of Ellijay, passed away on Friday, June 30th, 2023 at her residence.

Mrs. Piper was born in Gilmer County on May 19th, 1957 to the late Clarence Edmondson and Francis Mull Davenport. Mrs. Piper loved The Lord, music, and her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed crocheting and playing games on Facebook. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her stepfather, Herbert Davenport, who raised her.

Survivors include her husband, Herbert Piper Jr.; son, Shane (Donna) Piper; daughter, Amy Piper; brother, Timmy Davenport; three sisters, Marlene Poole, Judy Piper, Linda Piper; and six grandchildren, Caitlyn, Adam, Harlee, Keely, Michael, and Kaydee also survives.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 3rd at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Brandon Davenport officiating. Interment will follow in Yukon Cemetery. Pallbearers serving will be Adam Piper, Robert Piper, Daniel Poole, Jason Poole, Andy Heath, Harold Mull, Ethan Pennington, and Wesley Woods.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 3rd from 10:00 AM until the service hour.
