Mrs. Marjorie Bailey Anderson, age 88 of Ellijay, passed away on Saturday, June 15th, 2024 at the Grandview Healthcare Center in Jasper, GA.

Mrs. Anderson was born on March 5th, 1936 to the late Arnold Bailey and the late Margaret Reece Bailey. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Anderson is preceded in death by her loving husband, Thurston Anderson, Sr.; son, Thurston P. Anderson, Jr.; daughters, Janice Kirchmayer and Carolyn Anderson, and sister, Wanda Bailey Davis.

Marjorie is survived by her significant other, Phillip Johnson; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth R. (Jenny) Bailey and James Arnold (Chela) Bailey; four grandchildren, Julie (Andres) Zagarola, Marty Kirchmayer, Christi Anderson Apodaca, (JJ) Apodaca, Thurston "Andy" P III (Amy) Anderson, and six great-grandchildren, Kalin Zagarola, Sabrina Zagarola, Bella Zagarola, Thurston W Anderson, Caydence H Anderson, and Alden Apodaca also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 28th, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Harden Hopper officiating. Graveside Inurnment will follow in the East Ellijay Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday, June 28th, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour of 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted; however, the family respectfully asks that no food be brought to the funeral home.
