Mr. Mark Allen Stephens, age 62 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Saturday, April 19th, 2025 at his residence.

Mr. Stephens was born on May 7th, 1962 in Tate, GA, the son of the late Ernest Franklin "Runt" Stephens and Helen Pritchett Stephens. He was a dedicated truck driver and a faithful member of the Ellijay Church of Christ. Mark had a deep love for the outdoors—he especially enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time working outside. In addition to his father, Mr. Stephens is preceded in death by her brother, Tracy Stephens; brother-in-law, Dale Hunter, and sister-in-law, Krystal Stephens.

Mark is survived by his loving mother, Helen Stephens of Ellijay, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Josh Stephens (Kelsie Limburg) of Ellijay, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Richard (Angie) Stephens of Ellijay, GA; sister, Angie Hunter of Ellijay, GA; four grandchildren, Lilly, Blane, Aden, and Axel, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

A Funeral Service to honor the life of Mr. Stephens will be held on Monday, April 21st, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Minister Butch Jones and Minister Jeremy Green officiating. Congregational singing will be led by Mr. Jim Wright. Graveside Interment will follow in the Ellijay Church of Christ Memorial Gardens. The following gentlemen will be serving as pallbearers: Garry Rittenberry, Josh Stephens, Richard Stephens, Allan Hall, and Dean Hunter.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 21st, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. until the service hour of 2:00 p.m.

The family respectfully asks that no food and flowers be brought to the funeral home. In lieu of these, memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help alleviate the family of the final expenses.
