Mrs. Marselle Smith, age 70 of Talking Rock, GA, passed away on Thursday, February 1st, 2024 at her residence.

Mrs. Smith was born on March 6th, 1953 in Jasper, GA to the late Carl James Richards and the late Bessie May Chastain Richards. She was a member of the Flat Creek Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, Marselle is preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Smith.

Survivors include: sons, Eric Marvin Smith of Talking Rock, GA; two daughters, Sherry Smith and Jennifer Smith both of Talking Rock, GA; brother, Kenneth Richards of Ellijay; sister and brother-in-law, Joann (Clinton) Jones of Ellijay; grandchild, Brent Payne, and special friends, Brenda Teems and Maria Barrett also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, February 4th, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Arnold and Rev. Pat Shelton officiating. Interment will follow in the Flat Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The following gentlemen will be serving as pallbearers: Keith Gravely, Larry Keener, Glenn Arnold, Dennis Ponders, Clinton Jones, and Ed Teems and Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Payne.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, February 4th, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour of 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be to the funeral home to help with the final funeral expenses of Mrs. Marselle Smith.
