Mrs. Martha Jo Stahl Weeks, age 89 of Ellijay, GA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 11th, 2026.

Mrs. Weeks was born on February 8th, 1937, in Ellijay, GA, to the late Grady Fowler and Oden Parks Fowler. She retired from bookkeeping for Blue Ridge Mountain Woodcrafts and was a member of the Eastern Star and the Lioness Club, where she enjoyed serving and being involved in her community.

Mrs. Weeks was a devout Christian woman whose faith was at the center of her life. She faithfully got her five children ready every Sunday and made sure they were taken to church, teaching them from an early age the importance of knowing and serving the Lord. She was a faithful member of New Hope Baptist Church of Ellijay, GA, and her Christian example was evident in the way she lived her life and cared for those around her.

Above all, Mrs. Weeks treasured her family. She was a wonderful and devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her family was one of her greatest joys, and she leaves behind many precious memories that will be cherished by those who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Weeks also enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending time reading and working in her garden, and she had a special love for butterflies. Her kind and caring spirit, strong faith, and devotion to her family will be remembered for many years to come.

In addition to her parents, Martha is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. James “Jim” Everett Weeks, Jr., son, Tim Stahl, daughter, Teresa Stahl Aaron, and brother, Clay Woody.

Martha is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah (Gary) Bailey of Ellijay, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Tony (Vicki) Stahl of Cohutta, GA and Rev. Ted (Becky) Stahl of Jasper, GA; brother, Jim Landrum of Liouville, KY; 13 grandchildren, Christy Poole, Justin Davis, Derek Stahl, Brent Stahl, McKenzie Stahl, Kelly Szlosek, Journey Stahl, Adam Stahl, Brooke Stahl, Tyler Stahl, Joseph Bailey, Christopher Bailey, and Stephanie Bailey, and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Mrs. Weeks will be held on Friday, August 14th, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Ted Stahl officiating. Following the service, a procession will go to the Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Jasper, GA where she will be placed in a mausoleum at 12:30 p.m. The following gentlemen will be serving as pallbearers: Journey Stahl, Justin Davis, Adam Stahl, Jason Poole, Cass Taylor, and Joseph Bailey.

The family will be receiving friends on Friday, August 14th, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour of 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
