Ms. Melinda B. Edwards, age 67 of Ellijay, passed away Monday, October 31st, 2022.

Ms. Edwards was born April 7th, 1955, in Atlanta GA, the daughter of George Battles and Beatrice Strickland Battles. Melinda was a homemaker. She loved her family and dogs dearly and always had a warm smile.

Survivors include her husband, Richard L. Edwards; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Megan Edwards; daughter, Staci Edwards; two brothers, Buddy Battles and Bryan Battles; three grandchildren, Bryn Edwards, Keaghan Edwards, and Bella Edwards, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends on Saturday, November 12, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Bernhardt Funeral Home.

The family respectfully asks that no food nor flowers be brought to the funeral home.
