Mr. Michael Lee Garrett, age 50 of Ellijay, passed away on Tuesday, August 1st, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Garrett was born on March 7th, 1973 in Hall County to H.L. Garrett and the late Marion Worley Garrett. He was employed by the Gilmer County Road Department and was of the Baptist Faith. Mr. Garrett is preceded in death by his mother, Marion Worley Garrett.

Survivors include his wife, Tonya Garrett; father, H.L. Garrett; daughters, Kimberly Garrett of Cumming, GA and Jessica Garrett of Ellijay, GA; sons, Auston Parks of Hinesville, Ala and Cody Parks of Deatsville, Ala; brother, Charles Barclay; sister, Diane Lovell, and 4 grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, August 3rd, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Randy McClure officiating. Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery. The gentlemen serving as pallbearers will include Johnny Susing, Dortis Newton, Austin Parks, Cody Parks, Mitchell Wilson, and Tracy Wilson.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 2nd, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Food and Flowers will be accepted in memory of Mr. Michael Lee Garrett.
