Mr. Loran Mitchell "Mickey" Call, age 77 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025 at the Piedmont Mountainside Hospital in Jasper, GA.

Mickey was born on November 24th, 1947 in Jasper, GA to the late Claude Call and the late Arbutus Weeks Call. He was a graduate of Reinhardt College and Valdosta State University. An accomplished man, Mr. Call was an actor, movie maker, horse rider, and business owner. He was in numerous movies such as Fried Green Tomatoes and commercials. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ellijay. In addition to his parents, Mickey is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Greg Brewer.

Mr. Call is survived by his brother, Joe Call of Ellijay, GA; sister, Janie Brewer of Ellijay, and granddaughter, Jenna Call.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 12th, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 12th, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour of 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of food and flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society in memory of Mr. Mickey Call.
