Mrs. Mildred Jean Green Ellington, age 75 of Ellijay, passed away on Friday, October 21st, 2022 at Gilmer Parkside Nursing Home.

Mrs. Ellington was born on May 4th, 1947 in Blue Ridge, GA to the late Albert Green and Maddie Queen Green. She was retired from Goldkist Poultry. Mrs. Ellington is preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, James "Jimmy" Ellington; three sons, Douglas Truman (Kyria) Hyde of Ellijay, James H. (Jennifer) Ellington III of Ellijay, and Jackie (Amie) Ellington of Ellijay; six grandchildren; and three great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 25th at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Hood officiating. Music will be performed by C.J. and Marie Ellington. Interment will follow in the Liberty Baptist Church cemetery. Pallbearers serving will be Dylan Ellington, C.J. Ellington, Matt Esparza, Jeff Ellington, Mark Aaron, and Rosier Wingate.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 24th from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted in memory of Mrs. Mildred Ellington, but the family respectfully asks that no food be brought to the funeral home.
