Monnie Lee Holden, age 93 of Ellijay, went home to be with the Lord at her residence. She was born April 13, 1932 to the late Jim Weaver and Gertie Cantrell Weaver. In her fulfilling life, she was employed as a supervisor at the Lovell Bra Company. Monnie loved the Lord and was a member at River Hill Baptist Church.

Monnie is preceded in death by her loving husband, Morris Holden; daughter, Linda Annette Holden; sisters, Sharlene Mulkey and Reba Allen; brothers, Charles Weaver, Cotus Weaver, John Weaver, Robert Weaver, Arvil Weaver and Harley Weaver, along with niece Kiara Moreno.

Those left to cherish her memory include her nieces, Donna (Jose) Ceja, Cathy Mulkey, Lisa Moreno, Amanda Moreno, Marsha Teems, and Payton Teems, along with many other nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A Funeral Service to celebrate the life of Monnie Lee Holden will be held on Thursday, November 13, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Paul Richards officiating. Burial will follow at Scrougetown Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be: Mickey Weaver, Larry Weaver, David Allen, Trey Magallanes, Johnny Henson, and Charles Stepp.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 12, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm and from 10:00 am until 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 12.
