Nancy Virginia "Ginger" Holder, age 91, of Ellijay, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026.

Mrs. Holder was born on March 11, 1935, in Cleveland, Georgia, to the late Parks McAfee Bell and Mary Ruth Edwards Bell. She devoted many years of service as an administrator with the Cobb County School System, where she was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Ginger was a faithful member of Cartecay United Methodist Church and lived a life centered on family, faith, and service to others.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, William L. Holder, Sr.; her daughter, Janet Lynn Holder; and her sisters, Rachael Elliott and Joan Davis.

She is survived by her son, William Lyles Holder, Jr. (Maria) of Ocala, Florida; her daughter, Elizabeth Anne McLendon of Ellijay; her granddaughter, Jennifer Holder; along with other beloved family members and friends who will cherish her memory.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Dr. David Drake officiating. Interment will follow at a later date from the Georgia National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 28, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until the service hour of 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the East Ellijay Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in memory of Mrs. Holder.
