Nolan Blake Rymer Shooltz, age 17 of Ellijay, passed away on Saturday, June 8th, 2024 at his home.

Nolan was born on June 19th, 2006 in Pickens County to Richard Shooltz and Rachel Rymer Shooltz. He was a graduate of Gilmer High School's Class of 2024. Nolan loved to cook, play video games, and spend time with his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his parents, Richard and Rachael Shooltz of Ellijay, GA; brothers; Brandon Rymer, Wesley Shooltz, Brayden Buttrum, Rhylan Chadwick, Colton Rymer, and Ryder Sanford; sisters, Amanda Rymer, Amber Rymer, Kelsie Sanford, and Alexis Sanford; grandparents, Evelyn and Arnold Rymer, Vern Shooltz, and Darlene Linhardt; aunts and uncles, Robin and Michael Shields, Douglas Rymer, and Denice Parkhurst, and many friends also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 12th, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Pat Shelton officiating. Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The following gentlemen will be serving as pallbearers: Avery Mosley, Kyler Norton, Nolan Price, Bryson Shubin Gibbs, Bryson Fink, Aspen Hattaway, Eric Rogers, and Chris Owens. The following gentlemen will be serving as honorary pallbearers: Brayden Buttrum, Kristen Robinson, Stuart Tresslar, and Brandon Rymer.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 11th, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Food and Flowers will be accepted in memory of Nolan Rymer Shooltz.
