Opal ''Jane'' Weaver age 87 of Ellijay passed away on Monday, October 14, 2024.

Jane was born October 1st, 1937 in Robbinsville, NC. She was the daughter of the late Otto Ford and Azalee Rogers Ford. She is preceded in death by her parents Otto Ford and Azalee Rogers Ford, a son David Lee Weaver and also her husband of 50 years, Hoover Weaver.

Jane is a Gilmer High School graduate. She retired from Sears where she worked for many years. Jane was an avid reader and loved her family and friends. She also was "Volunteer of the Year" for the Lions Club.

Jane is survived by her daughter; Gay (Thomas) Essex, Ellijay, GA Brothers Johnny (Margie) Ford, Braselton,GA James Allen and (Cindy) Ford, Robbinsville NC, Brother in-law- and sister-in-law Harvey and (Velma)Mooney, Suwanee GA. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joshua Blake Crescenti, Winder Ga, and Jonathon Lee Crescenti, Ellijay, GA. She also has 1 great-great-grandchild, Cecelia Rose Crescenti, South Williamson, KY.  She is also survived by multiple nieces and nephews. As well as the (Special Friends) and many friends in the Lions Club.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 19th, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Bernhardt Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Tickanetley Primitive Baptist Church. Rev. Russell Hood will be officiating the service. Pallbearers honoring Ms. Weaver will be Butch Rogers, Mac Wiggins, Tim Mooney, Phil English, and Greg and John Ford.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 18th, 2024 at the funeral home, from 4 pm to 8 pm.

Flowers will be accepted in memory of Mrs. Weaver.
