Mrs. Patsy Ann Chadwick Sanford, age 77 of Ellijay, GA, passed away on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025 at her residence.

Mrs. Sanford was born on June 13th, 1947, the daughter of the late Zed Chadwick and Clara Belle Cantrell Chadwick. Patsy was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, wife, and friend whose kindness touched everyone who knew her. Her life was a beautiful reflection of grace, compassion, and faith. Patsy loved the Lord with all her heart and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church of Ellijay. Her love for her family was boundless, and she carried her roles as mother and grandmother with pride and deep affection. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she loved and the lives she touched with her unwavering faith and kindness. In addition to her parents, Patsy is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Earl Garland Sanford.

Mrs. Sanford is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Shannon (April) Sanford of Ellijay, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Kristin (Clint) Blackwell of Ellijay, GA; three grandchildren, Bella (Bryson) Jones, Brady Sanford, and Zed Blackwell; one great-granddaughter due in August 2025, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services to honor the life of Mrs. Sanford will be held on Saturday, April 19th, 2025 at 12:00 p.m., noon, from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Patterson, Rev. Steve Jones, Rev. Alan Davenport, and Rev. Jerry Banks officiating. Mrs. Melissa Moss will perform the vocals. Graveside Interment will follow in the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellijay. The following gentlemen will be serving as pall bearers: Brady Sanford, Zed Blackwell, Bryson Jones, Darren Braswell, Danny Joe Chadwick, and Don Ruff.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on the evening of Friday, April 18th, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

The family respectfully asks that no food be brought to the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cross Roads Baptist Church Cemetery Fund c/o Mr. Harold Sanford at 542 Ridgeview Trail , Ellijay, GA 30536 in memory of Mrs. Patsy Ann Sanford.
