Mr. Clinton "Peanut" Eugene Gunn, age 69 of Ellijay, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024 at the Emory University Hospital.

Peanut was born on June 22nd, 1954 in Habersham, GA to the late Alvin Eugene Gunn and the late Nellie Ruby Kelley Marsengill. He was saved at Joy Baptist Church as a little boy and was of the Baptist faith. He and his wife, Doris owned and operated CW Used Cars in Ellijay. He loved his dachshund dogs, cars, and his family. In addition to his parents, Peanut is preceded in death by his son, Brandon Alred, and three brothers, Ernest Gunn, Tommy Gunn, and Calvin Gunn.

He is survived by his loving wife, Doris Jones Gunn of Ellijay; son and daughter-in-law, Adam (Kristle) Gunn of Ellijay; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn (Jason) Talley of Clayton, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Carol (Sam) Allgary of Clayton, GA; five grandchildren, Kayla Brown, Kelsey Watts, Klarissa Talley, Austin Craig, and Ella Craig; four grandchildren, Isabella Brown, Isaiah Brown, Harlan Watts, and Leighlan Watts, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Rev. Glenn Arnold officiating. Music will be provided by Mrs. Regina Chastain Mathis and Mr. Darrell Jones. Interment will follow in the Yukon Cemetery. The following gentlemen will be serving as Pall Bearers: Bryan Garrett, Jon Garrett, Chad Seiverling, Les McDaniel, Zach Jones, and Casey Stover. Honorary Pall Bearers will be: Tommy Pankey and Keith Pankey.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 29th, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Food and flowers will be accepted or in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emory Lung Transplant Program or an animal organization of your choice.
