Ms. Pearlie Mae Sluder, age 85 of Ellijay, passed away on Wednesday, January 10th, 2024 at Parkside Nursing Home in Ellijay.

Ms. Sluder was born on August 14th, 1938, in Fannin County to the late Kell Weeks and Lola Cochran Weeks. She was a homemaker and a member of The Boardtown Church of Christ. Ms. Sluder was renowned for cakes and was an excellent cook and baker. She will be remembered as a loving mother and a beloved friend. Pearlie Mae adored her children and grandchildren and was always the "fun" aunt. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Renee Roger; brothers, Otis Weeks and Junior Weeks; and sisters, Cathrine James, Vicki Connor, and Gladys Carmicle.

Survivors include her son, Wayne Sluder Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Abby and Gerald Chancey; and sister, Ann Mason; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren also survive.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Minister Butch Jones officiating. Internment to follow in the Stanley Creek Church of Christ. Pallbearers serving will be, Josh Chancey, Bobby Ballew, Gene McClure, Scott Cook, Gavin Cook, and Walker Ballew.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, January 12th from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

Flowers and food will be accepted in memory of Ms. Pearlie Mae Sluder.
