Phyllis (Phyll) Louise Dygert, age 72 of Canton, GA passed away peacefully with family by her side on June 3rd, 2023 at Northside Hospital Cherokee.

Phyll was born on June 16th,1950 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to the late William Bolhuis and Margaret Bolhuis Ambs. Those who survive her are her brother, Jerry (Sandy) Bolhuis, of Portage MI; sister Sue (Rob) Rowe of Ellijay, GA; nephews Rob (Kristin) Bolhuis, Joey (Jessica) Rowe; niece Katie Henley; four great nephews, Brandon, Nate, Reid and Carson; two great nieces Justice and Madison.

Phyll graduated from Portage Northern High School in 1968 where she excelled in history thus taking archeology classes at Kalamazoo Valley College, where she was also a cheerleader for the basketball team. Her passion was to dance, which she did as often as possible.

In her years living in Georgia, she was a member of Revolution Church in Canton GA, where she enjoyed serving in many areas. Her favorite activity was to bake and cook, and share with all. She loved spending time with friends and family, especially during the holidays. Christmas was her favorite time of year and never let anyone go without a gift.

To honor her wishes, Phyll will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at Revolution Church located at 125 Union Hill Trail, Canton, GA 30115 on Thursday, June 8th, 2023 at 11:00 a.m..

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 7th, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. until the funeral hour of 11:00 a.m.

Interment will be held in Cooper, Michigan at a later date.
