Mr. Ralph Gary Miner, 78 of Ellijay, passed away on Tuesday March 15th, 2022 at Piedmont Mountainside Hospital.

Mr. Miner was born April 10 ^th , 1943 to the late Theodore and Gertrude Card Miner in Elmira, New York. Ralph is the last of his military family from the Revolutionary War, Spanish American War, World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam War, Honduran Conflict, and Desert Storm. Ralphs grandfather was Dermont Miner the first Golf Pro in the United States. Dermont ran Golf Courses from Elizabethtown NY to Delan Florida with Ralphs father Ted and Ralph, and his uncle ran the Newburn Golf Course. Ralph is the great grandson of Martin B Davis a drummer boy during the Civil War. Ralph was a kind and generous man, he loved to fish, go to flea markets and do cross word puzzles. He was a Staff Sergeant in the United States Army. He served his country in the Korean War and Desert Storm War. He was also a member of the American Legion and the VFW.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Miner; sons, Todd Miner, John Howe, and James Howe; daughters, Sherri Hall, Stefannie Lyon, Julie Miner, and Kimberle Vang; four grandchildren Benjamin, Madison, Jacob, and Leah.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 19 ^th at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Bernhardt Funeral Home with Sonnija Owens officiating. Military Rites to be conducted by the North GA Honor Guard.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, March 19 ^th from 2:00-3:00 PM

Interment to follow in the Georgia National Cemetery on Thursday, March 31 ^st at 11:00 AM with Military rites to be conducted by the US Army.

The family respectfully asks that no flowers or food be brought to the Funeral Home.
